Olive Mona Jean Younker

Olive Mona Jean Younker, 86, of Fairfax, VA passed away Friday, June 21st, 2019 at her residence.

Olive was born in Big Cove Tannery, PA on March 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Etta M. (Miller) and Virgil W. Pittman.  She was the widow of Guy A. Younker whom she married on December 24, 1949 and he passed away on September 6, 2007.

Mrs. Younker owned and operated MJ's Ceramics in Fairfax, VA and also was a homemaker.  Olive enjoyed mowing grass, watching WWE wrestling and going to craft shows where she showcased her ceramics.  She also enjoyed talking on the phone for hours with family, gardening, canning and throughout her life, she never met a stranger.

She is survived by daughters Diann L. Dargusch, of Fairfax, VA, Cecelia M. Pines, of Fairfax, VA, sisters Helen Hann, of McConnellsburg, PA, Judi Kenney, of Red Lion, PA, Linda Harr, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, brothers Jim Pittman, of McConnellsburg, PA, Ray Pittman, of McConnellsburg, PA, grandson Joseph M. Pines, of Fairfax, VA, great grandchildren Aiden Myers, Bryce, Jolene and Aubrey Pines.  Olive was preceded in death by sisters Mary Ruth Mellott, Ethel Davis, Alice Golden, brothers Paul, Bobby, Carl and Larry Pittman.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from  6 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 27th, 2019  with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating.

Interment at Damascus Christian Church Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery, PA.
