Norman P. Crum, Sr., 80, of Harrisonville, died Saturday, February 8th, 2014 at the Fulton County Medical Center, Long Term Care Unit, McConnellsburg, PA.
Norman was born in Hollidaysburg, PA on November 24, 1933, the son of the late Warren C. and Mary Virginia (Wilson) Crum. He was the widower of Lillian L. (Sipes) Crum, whom he married on October 4, 1987. She preceded him in death on October 29, 2005.
He worked as a carpenter before retiring in 1996. Norman was a member of the American Legion Post # 561, McConnellsburg, PA, the VFW Post # 655, McConnellsburg, PA, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Harrisonville, PA, and the Moose Loyal Order Of No 223, Huntingdon, PA. He also served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a Sgt in the Korean War.
Surviving are his children son Warren R. Crum of Alexander, PA, daughter Jacqueline D. Sendak of Huntingdon, PA, and two sisters Marlene Moore of Shakerheights, OH, and Yvonne McMahon of Huntingdon, PA. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren Michael L. Sendak of Virginia Beach, VA, Rebecca A. Sendak of Huntingdon, PA, and Amber Sharrow of Petersburg, PA. He was preceded in death by a son Norman P. Crum, Jr., brother Sheldon Crum and his first wife Sarah (Sponsler) Crum.
Religious Service will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., 873 Lincoln Way East McConnellsburg, PA 17233, at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12th, with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating.
Interment will be at Sideling Hill Christian Cemetery, Needmore, PA.
There will be visitation held on Wednesday, February 12th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.
Military srevices will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
