Norma M. Ott

Norma M. Ott, 90, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Monday, October 23rd, at the Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit, McConnellsburg, PA. Norma was born in McConnellsburg, PA on August 14, 1927, a daughter of the late Olive Mellott-Taylor and Charles Mellott.  She was the widow of H. Richard "Dick" Ott, whom she married on July 9, 1950.  He preceded her in death on Novmber 14, 2001. She was a member of St. Paul Luthern Church, McConnellsburg, PA and the Order of Eastern Star 519, McConnellsburg, PA.  Norma enjoyed reading, decorating her home and spending time with her family. Norma is survived by her children; daughter Jody  (wife of George) Hann, of Ft. Littleton, PA., daughter Sandy (wife of Jim) Novak, of McConnellsburg, PA,  son John (husband of Pam) Ott, of McConnellsburg, PA,  son Mike (husband of Vicki) Ott, of McConnellsburg, PA and son Mitch Ott, of McConnellsburg, PA.  She is also survived by her sister Shirley Guthrie, of Cumberland Furnace, TN, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and parents, Norma was preceded in death by her step father Lauren Taylor, sisters Jean Pike, Joan Winter, Mildred Metzler, Mazie Pope, Nancy Ward and brothers Joe and Jack Mellott. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. Funeral services will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 25th,  with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may  to;  Willing Workers  St Paul Luthern Church 220 N. Third St. McConnellsburg, PA  17233. Interment will be at Union Cemetery,  McConnellsburg, PA.
