Norma Jean Garland

Norma Jean Garland, 65, a resident of the Fulton County Medical Center Extended Care Unit and formerly of Needmore, PA passed away Wednesday, July 18th, 2012 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Norma was born in Sipes Mill, PA on April 30, 1947, the daughter of the late Hubert and Mary Ruth (Pittman) Mellott.  She was the widow of Dale W. Garland, Sr. She was a secretary for Belfast Township for thirty years and also was a homemaker. Mrs. Garland is survived by Son Dale W. (husband of Tina) Garland, Jr. of Needmore, PA, Sisters Mona Fern Kidwell of Great Cacapon, WV, Naomi Stepanik of Warfordsburg, PA and Brother Glenn Mellott of Warfordsburg, PA.  Preceded in death by brothers Gary and Perry Mellott. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 21st, 2012  with Pastor Roger Truax officiating. Interment at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Needmore, PA. There will be visitation on Friday, July 20th, 2012 fom 2 to 8 P.M. at the Howard L.
