Neva G. Houck, 81, of Waterfall, PA, passed away on July 16, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. 

Neva was born December 25,1944 in Three Springs, PA. She was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Helen G. (Mellott) Knepper. She was the wife of Walter D. Houck, who she married September 30, 1966.

Neva attended the New Grenada Church of God in New Grenada, Pennsylvania. She served for many years as the Recorder of Deeds at the Fulton County Courthouse. A talented quilter, Neva lovingly created beautiful quilts for family and friends throughout her life. She also found great joy in tending her flower gardens and was an avid photographer who especially cherished capturing memories of her grandchildren. In retirement, she and her husband looked forward to spending the winter months at their home in Florida, where they enjoyed the sunshine, stayed active, and shared many games and laughs with friends. Above all, Neva treasured time with her family and her beloved dog, Buddy, and cat, Raymond.

She was preceded in death by sister Sally Baker (Knepper) and brother Richard "Dick" Knepper.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Timothy D. (husband of Angela) Houck of Carlisle, PA, daughter Tammie D. (wife of Guy) Stake of Three Springs, PA, sister Doretta (wife of Ralph) Mellott, of Harrisonville, PA and brother Henry (husband of Lucinda) Knepper, of Hustontown, PA. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Garrett Houck, Kaylyn Matyszczak (wife of Tyler), Rachel Snyder (wife of Marcus), Katie Waite, three step-grandchildren: Cynthia, Marcus, and Katelynn, four great grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the New Grenada Church of God in New Grenada, PA, with Pastor Ken Cornelius officiating. There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
