Nancy Marie Sharpe

N. Marie Sharpe, 95, of Harrisonville, PA passed away Thursday, March 7th, 2013 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Marie was born in Woodbury, PA on August 21, 1917, the daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Detwiler) Johnson.  She was the widow of Claude  Sharpe who passed away in 1988. Mrs. Sharpe attended the Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, PA, worked at the Everett Sewing Factory and the Sagner Coat Factory in McConnellsburg, PA, loved working in her garden, making quilts, sewing, taking care of her many flowers and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by Step-Daughter June (wife of Donald) Glenn of McConnellsburg, PA, Brothers Richard, James and Paul  Johnson, two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, six great step-grandchildren, five great great step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by one daughter in 1987, one step-son in 1998, eight brothers, three sisters and one great grandson. Religious Service at Asbury United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 11th, 2013  with Pastor William Bair and Pastor Richard Bernhard officiating. Interment at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA. There will be visitation on Sunday, March 10th, 2013 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Monday at the church.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Asbury United Methodist Cemetery Association, in care of Sally Gress, 13465 Sipes Mill Road, Harrisonville, PA 17228.
