Nancy A. Barmont, 93, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026, in McConnellsburg, PA. 

Nancy was born on November 29, 1932, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Francis (Englehart) Stephens. She was the widow of the late Walter R. Barmont Jr. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1995. 

Nancy was a member of the United Church of Christ in McConnellsburg, PA. She taught at McConnellsburg High School, McConnellsburg, PA, and also helped numerous individuals earn their GEDs. Nancy never looked down on others and always enjoyed helping others reach their goals. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, singing in the church choir and the Mercersburg Community Chorus.

She is survived by her son, Walter R Barmont III; daughter-in-law, Beth (Fleck) Barmont; granddaughter, Rachel (Barmont) Sellers; grandson Matthew Barmont; great-granddaughter, Maggie Sellers; and step-great-grandson Braydin Sellers, all of McConnellsburg PA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Stephens Jr., and her sisters Alice Hann, Virginia Stephens and Carol DeShong. 

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
