Mildred R. (Mellott) Barnhart

Mildred R. "Millie" Barnhart, 91, of Needmore, PA passed away Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 at Falling Spring Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA. Mildred was born in Big Cove Tannery, PA on February 7, 1921, the daughter of the late Rolla and Nellie (Lanehart) Mellott.  She was the widow of William Palmer Barnhart. She was a member of the Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church, was a waitress at Weaver's Restaurant in Hancock, MD for thirty-five years and also was a homemaker. Mrs. Barnhart is survived by Daughter Delores A. Barling of Needmore, PA, Daughter Mary L. Cromwell of Needmore, PA, Son William Carl Barnhart of Needmore, PA, Son Roger L. Barnhart of Ft. Loudon, PA, Daughter Carol F. Hollinshead of McConnellsburg, PA, Half-Brother Horace Mellott of Lemoyne, PA, Half-Sister Betty Doyle of McConnellsburg, PA, ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by step-mother Ruth Mellott, half-sisters Marietta Mann and Ethel Doyle, half-brother Denver Mellott and one infant half-brother. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 9th, 2012  with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating. Interment at Sideling Hill Baptist Cemetery, Needmore, PA. There will be visitation on Friday, March 9th, 2012 from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.
