Michael A. Gress

Michael A. Gress, 67, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Sunday, October 10th, 2021 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.

Mike was born in McConnellsburg, PA on March 23, 1954, the son of the late Regena E. (Johnson) Peck and Donald R. Gress.

He was the owner/operator of his own truck and hauled cross-country for many years. Mike enjoyed farming throughout his life, horseback riding and hunting, especially out west.  He also loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by daughter Misty J. (wife of Michael) Ritchey, of McConnellsburg, PA, son Chad M. Gress (companion Amy Souders), of McConnellsburg, PA, sisters Audrey (wife of Kenny) Atherton, of McConnellsburg, PA, Sue (wife of Jim) McGee, of Chambersburg, PA, brothers Thomas R. (husband of Michelle) Peck, Jr., of McConnellsburg, PA, John R.  Peck (companion Karen Paugh), of McConnellsburg, PA, Richard A. "Dink" Peck (companion Crystal Seville), of McConnellsburg, PA, grandchildren Dayten Gress, Landin Gress, Zayden Gress, Malaina Ritchey, Makinlee Ritchey,  Alexandria Ritchey (companion Jake Voegel), Bridgette Ritchey, great grandchildren Brynlee and Cainan Voegel.  Mike was preceded in death by infant brother Donald E. Gress and brother Vernon Kuykendall.

Visitation will be Monday, October 18th, 2021 from 3 PM to 4 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.

Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 4:00 PM on Monday, October 18th, 2021  with Pastor Deb Strait officiating.  The family requests those in attendance to wear a mask and follow CDC guidelines for COVID-19.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
