Matthew M. Hill

Matthew McCauley Hill, 27, of McConnellsburg, PA, died Sunday, May 11th, 2014 in Mifflintown,  PA. Matthew was born in McConnellsburg, PA on November 23, 1986, the son of Michele L. (DeShong) and Mike M. Hill of McConnellsburg, PA. He was a 2005 graduate of McConnellsburg High School and a 2009 graduate of Lock Haven University where he was a member of the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. Matthew also was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of McConnellsburg, PA, the American Legion Post #561 of McConnellsburg, PA and was employed as an assistant manager at AT&T in Altoona, PA. Matthew was an avid fan of all sports especially the Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Braves.  He enjoyed helping with youth sports and was very active in Organ Donor Awareness. In addition to his parents, he is survived by Brother Michael R. Hill of Atoka, TN, Maternal grandparents Jane and Guinea Lininger of McConnellsburg, PA, Girlfriend Jaime Dzialowski and daughter Addison of Canton, Michigan and Special friend Miss Mae Hill.  He is also survived by a very loving family of many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Preceded in death by paternal grandparents Bob and Hilda Hill and maternal grandfather Kenneth DeShong. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 16th, 2014  with Jeremy Fletcher officiating. Visitation will be  Thursday, May 15th, 2014 from 2 to 8 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
