Mary J. Mckee

Mary J. McKee, 92, of  Warfordsburg, PA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 at Menno Haven Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA. Mary was born in Locust Grove, PA on November 29, 1918, the daughter of the late Harry F. and Blanche (Smith) Hill.  She was the widow of Clarence John McKee whom she married on March 9, 1936 and he passed away on May 25, 2003. She was a member of Jerusalem Christian Church, Warfordsburg, PA where she was a deaconess at the church for many years and also taught Sunday School for many years.  Mrs. McKee was a housewife who loved gardening, sewing and baking. Mary is survived by Sons William C. McKee of Coatesville, PA, Franklin L. McKee of Hancock, MD, Jerry L. McKee of Warfordsburg, PA, John M. McKee of Warfordsburg, PA, Daughters Verla J. Hill of Needmore, PA, W. Mae Schooley of Warfordsburg, PA, Nita L. Davis of Port Republic, MD, Imogene L. McIntyre of Mercersburg, PA, Mary L. Houck of Hancock, MD, thirty-six grandchildren and fifty-six great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by sister Gladys Carson, brothers Harry E. Hill, Elmer L. Hill, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at Jerusalem Christian Church, Warfordsburg, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 31st, 2010  with Pastor Scott Gibbs, Pastor Delmas Bard and Pastor William Davis officiating. Interment at Jerusalem Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, PA. There will be visitation on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Howard L.
