Marlene M. Truax

Marlene M. Truax, 80, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Friday, April 1st, 2016 at her residence. Marlene was born in McConnellsburg, PA on May 19, 1935, the daughter of the late Marie (Palmer) and Melvin W. Crist.  She was the wife of Benjamin F. Truax whom she married on June 4, 1955. Mrs. Truax attended the Pleasant Grove Christian Church in Warfordsburg, PA in her younger years,worked at Hepburn's Orchard in Hancock, MD for many years and did home care nursing. She enjoyed gardening, quilt making, crocheting and canning. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Wayne B. Truax of Dillsburg, PA, daughter Melinda L. (wife of Robert) Sass of Rapid City, South Dakota, sisters Brenda (wife of Les) Adelsburger of Mercersburg, PA, Janice (wife of Donald) Landers of Hancock, MD, Lee Ann (wife of Bill) Prince of Warminster, PA, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5th, 2016  with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 4th, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment at Pleasant Grove Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, PA. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
