Marjorie A. Sexton

Marjorie A. Sexton, 71, of Needmore, PA passed away Friday, March 23rd, 2018 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Marjorie was born in Needmore, PA on September 23, 1946, the daughter of the late Ethel A. (Swope) and Carl W. Mellott.  On February 20, 1965, she married C. Ellwood Sexton to whom she had been married to for fifty-three years. Mrs. Sexton was a member of the Sideling Hill Christian Church in Needmore, PA, was a retired occupational nurse from the Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA and also was a registered nurse.  Marjorie loved sewing, her nieces, nephews and grandkids and helping with the McConnellsburg High School musicals. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Erica J. Sexton of Needmore, PA, JoAnn D. (wife of Michael, Sr.) Chilcote of McConnellsburg, PA, sisters Erma Anderson of Harrisonville, PA, Eunice Booth of McConnellsburg, PA, brothers Lyle Mellott of Needmore, PA, Donald Mellott of McConnellsburg, PA, mother-in-law Mary M. Sexton of Needmore, PA, grandchildren Robert Shehan, Elizabeth Shehan-Hussein, Jonathan Chilcote, Michael Chilcote, Jr., Lindsey New, Chastidy Chilcote, great grandchildren Layne Shehan, Adam Hussein and nine step-great grandchildren.  Marjorie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 27th, 2018 from 5 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Wednesday at the church. Religious Service at Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, PA at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018  with Pastor William Swope officiating. Interment at Sideling Hill Christian Cemetery, Needmore, PA. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
