Marjorie "Sally" (Keyser) Gress

Mrs. Marjorie "Sally" (Keyser) Gress, 81, of Harrisonville, PA passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Carlisle, PA. Born April 17, 1932 in Ayr Township, Fulton County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Theodore R. and Catherine (Mellott) Keyser.  She was the wife of George C. Gress whom she married on February 10, 1955. Sally graduated from Green Hill School, Harrisonville, PA in 1951 and was then home schooled in Bible Studies from the Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.  She was a member of the Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, PA, the Fulton County Medical Center Auxillary, McConnellsburg, PA and was the secretary for the Licking Creek Burial Association for forty plus years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by Sons William T. (fiance Jackie Watkins) Gress of Hustontown, PA, Gregory G. (husband of Tina) Gress of McConnellsburg, PA, Alan B. (fiance Amy Stauffer) Gress of Harrisonville, PA, Cory L. (husband of Donna) Gress of Harrisonville, PA, Sister Shirley (wife of Jack) Brant of Chambersburg, PA, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by sister Lena (wife of Robert) Caldwell. Sally enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a self-proclaimed domestic engineer and professional baby sitter. Funeral service at Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, PA at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 26, 2013 with Pastor William Swope officiating. Interment at Asbury United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA. There will be visitation on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 2 to 8 P.M. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Asbury Cemetery Association, in care of Harry Kline, 815 Circle Drive, Harrisonville, PA  17228.
