Marilyn R. Paylor

Marilyn R. Paylor, 73, of Warfordsburg, PA passed away Monday, June 5th, 2017 at her residence. Marilyn was born in Bristol, OH on August 27, 1943, the daughter of the late Clara (Summers) and Cecil  Mahan.  She was the widow of George M. Paylor whom she married on May 30, 1970 and he passed away on March 30, 1994. Mrs. Paylor attended the Everett Grace Brethren Church, was a member of the Gideons serving with her late husband, member of Christian Social Services and was a board member of the Fulton County Library.  She had a masters in biology and was an adult education teacher at the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit.  Marilyn also loved reading, gardening and music. Marilyn is survived by son Mark L. (husband of Crystal) Paylor of Warfordsburg, PA, daughters Janelle L. (wife of Thomas) Ricker of Indianapolis, IND, Laura E. (wife of Jeremy) Mellott of Needmore, PA, step-daughters Debbie (wife of Barry) Reiber of Waynesboro, PA, Donna Pierceall of Greencastle, PA, Vonna Kuykendall of Greencastle, PA, sisters Leah Shiflett of Baltimore, MD, Alice Phillips of Newton Falls, OH, Catherine Mahan of Elyria, OH, brother James Mahan of Bristol, OH, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Preceded in death by brother William McElrath and sister Beverly Smith. Visitation will be Thursday, June 8th, 2017 from 5 to 6 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. Memorial Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 8th, 2017  with Pastor Tom Ricker and Pastor Melvin Van Orman officiating.
