Mack McKinley Clevenger, 82, of Shippensburg, PA, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026 in Shippensburg Healthcare Center, Shippensburg, PA where he was a resident since February 2025. Mack lived most of his life in McConnellsburg, PA. 

Mack was born on February 12, 1944 in Everett, PA. He was the son of the late Mack E. Clevenger and late Porter and Edith L. (Laidig) Duvall.

 Mack was in the National Guard from 1961 to 1964. He retired from New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co, where he was a road construction foreman. His favorite activity after retirement was traveling around McConnellsburg in his vehicle stopping at various locations to people watch. He also made his daily stops at the American Legion Post 561 and the VFW Post 655 for his meals and to talk to his friends. Mack was known for his amazing blue eyes and that beautiful smile.

He is survived by his children; Lisa J. (wife of Wade) Kemp of Shippensburg, PA; Michael L. Clevenger of Hustontown, PA; Cassandra L. Clevenger of Virginia Beach, VA, Alisa M. Clevenger of Virginia Beach, VA and Tyler R Smith (husband of Jessica ) Smith of McConnellsburg,PA. He is also survived by his brother, Terry L Duvall (wife Diane) of Holsopple,PA; seventeen grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, with Danny Chamberlain officiating. There will be two hours of visitation held prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA. On the way to the cemetery, Mack will take his last lap around McConnellsburg.
