Louise E. Long

Louise E. Long, 89, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Monday, August 9th, 2021 at Embassy at Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Louise was born in Harrisonville, PA on September 19, 1931, the daughter of the late Elena (Mellott) and Claude  Mellott.  She was the widow of Darl Z. Long whom she married in August of 1948 and he passed away September 28, 2000.

Mrs. Long attended Green Hill High School in Harrisonville, PA and was a member of the American Legion Post #561 Ladies Auxiliary in McConnellsburg, PA.  Louise enjoyed reading, watching sports, traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughters Barbara S. (wife of Richard) Lehman, of Stoystown, PA, Beverly K. (wife of Edward H.) Hopper, of Greencastle, PA, daughter-in-law Debra Long, of Anchorage, Alaska, brother Earl (husband of Grace) Mellott, of Camp Hill, PA, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Louise was preceded in death by son Eugene Long, brothers Roger and Jerry Mellott.

Services are private and interment is at Knobsville Cemetery, Knobsville, PA.
