Lois M. (Winegardner) Croom

Lois M. (Winegardner) Croom, 90, of State College, PA and formerly of Fulton County, PA passed away Thursday, January 13th, 2022 at Juniper Village, State College, PA. Lois was born in McConnellsburg, PA on February 28, 1931, the daughter of the late Alda Blanche (Cunningham) Windgardner and Donald K. Winegardner.  She was the widow of Charles E. Croom who passed away on August 8, 1996. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in McConnellsburg, PA, the 519 Fulton Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and was a retired lab technician from the American Cyanamid Co. in Bound Brook, NJ after working there for thirty-two years. Mrs. Croom is survived by, step-daughter Christy Bartley, of State College, PA, step-son Lt Gen Charles E. Croom, of Sunset, SC, sister Joana Bednar, of Cumberland, MD, brother Albert Winegardner, of Oklahoma City, OK, step-grandson Matthew Kohler and step-great grandson Hayden Kohler. A Graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 7th, 2022. Donations in memory of Lois may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at Alz.org.
