Lois J. Clugston

Lois J. Clugston, 85, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Sunday, August 2nd, at Maugansville Mennonite Home, Hagerstown, Md.

Lois was born in Camp Hill, PA on March 23, 1935, a daughter of the late Mabel Elizabeth (Benner) and Elmer Henry Hertzler.  She was the wife of Warren E. Clugston, whom she was happily married to for sixty four years.

Lois graduated from the Mechanicsburg High School.  She was a homemaker and a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church McConnellsburg, PA .

In addition to her husband, she is survived by  her  daughters Donna (wife of Gerald) Histand, of Rome, PA,  Diane (wife of John) Histand, of Rome, PA, Maxine (wife of Larry) Weaver, of Lahmansville, WV, Gail (wife of Robert) Weaver, of Maysville, WV, sons Keith (husband of Deloris) Clugston, of McConnellsburg, PA, Rene (husband of Jennifer) Clugston, of McConnellsburg, PA, Alan (husband of Doreene) Clugston, of McConnellsburg, PA, sisters Betty (wife of the late Enos Hege), of Shippensburg, PA,  Doris Mae (wife of Dale) Moyer, of Leola, PA, brother Leon (husband of JoAnne) Hertzler, of Newport, NH, brother-in-law Paul  Ebersole, of Xenia, IL, and sister-in-law Beverly Hertzler, of Bastrop, TX.  She is also survived by thirty two grandchildren and fourty eight great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister Arlene Ebersole, brother Kenneth Hertzler and two grandchildren.

The family of Lois are hosting a time of visitation on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 5 PM to 8 PM. at the Mountain View Mennonite Church, McConnellsburg, PA.  The family would like to invite all to attend but encourage anyone not feeling well to express their condolences or memories of Lois at www.howardlsipes.com.

Graveside services will be held at the Mountain View Mennonite Church Cemetery McConnellsburg, PA, on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM, with the Mountain View Mennonite Ministries officiating.  There will also be one hour of visitation held at the church prior to the graveside services for anyone unable to attend Thursday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain View Mennonite Christian School in care of Alan Clugston 20044 Great Cove Rd. McConnellsburg, PA  17233.
