Linda L. Smith

Linda L. Smith, 67, of Warfordsburg, PA passed away Sunday, December 29th, 2019 at her residence.

Linda was born in Somerset, PA on October 17, 1952, the daughter of the late Janet (Bentz) Snowberger and Leon  Ford.  She was the widow of Valentine V. "Val" Smith who passed away on March 19, 2001.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker who loved her dog Sugar and her nieces and nephews.  She enjoyed playing bingo, organizing and shopping for Franklin Graham Operation Christmas Child, cooking and delivering food to those in need.

She is survived by sisters Jeane A. (wife of Duane) Williams, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Tanis (wife of Richard) Hillegass, of Locust Grove, VA, Susan L. Mellott, of Needmore, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.  Linda was preceded in death by sister Mary C. Brownley.

A Memorial Service will be held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 4th, 2019  with Pastor Duane Williams officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Internment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Graham Operation Christmas Child, in care of Charlene Brady, 2943 Laurel Ridge Road, Big Cove Tannery, PA 17212.
