Linda Kay "Kate" Covert

Linda Kay "Kate" Covert, 68, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 at her residence. Kate was born in Chambersburg, PA on November 29, 1948, the daughter of the late Bertha "Betty" (Mellott) Chestnut and James Mack Chestnut, Jr.  She worked at numerous jobs throughout her life Mrs. Covert is survived by sons James  D. (husband of Patience) Knepper of Hustontown, PA, Jeffery D. Knepper of Waterfall, PA, Richard A. (husband of Shannon) Covert, Jr. of Shirleysburg, PA, Isaiah R. (husband of Kylie) Covert of Shirleysburg, PA, sisters Shirley A. Sample of McConnellsburg, PA, Dolly J. Miller of McConnellsburg, PA, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by brother Robert J. "Bob" Wible, nephews Darin A. Miller and Darren N. Mellott. Graveside service at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 21st, 2017  with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
