Lillian S. (Houck) Sheeder

Lillian S. Sheeder, 92, of New Grenada, PA, passed away Sunday, January 18th, 2015 at UPMC Altoona, Altoona, PA surrounded by her family. Lillian was born in Huntingdon County, PA on August 30, 1922, the daughter of the late Laura Lillian (Shafer) and Oscar L. Houck.  She was the widow of Willard J. Sheeder whom she married on July 20, 1937 and he passed away on January 14, 1982. Mrs. Sheeder was a member of the New Grenada Church of God in  Robertsdale, PA and was a homemaker. She is survived by Daughters Dixie (wife of Pastor Denver) Plessinger of Warfordsburg, PA, Peggy (wife of Ralph) Swope of Needmore, PA, Son Max (husband of Sally) Sheeder of New Grenada, PA, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, one niece and two nephews.  Preceded in death by brothers Fred and Frank Houck. Religious Service at New Grenada Church of God, 242 Gracey Road, Robertsdale, PA 16674, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 22nd, 2015  with Pastor Kenneth Cornelius officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21st, 2015 from 2 to 8 PM.   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Thursday at the church. Interment at Bethel Cemetery, Robertsdale, PA. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
