Leroy "Lee" Vickroy

Leroy "Lee" Vickroy, 102, of McConnellsburg, PA, joined his beloved wife, Freda, on August 23, 2025, who was already spending eternity with their savior.

Lee was born in Johnstown, PA on August 21, 1923, a son of the late William and Marie (Trush) Vickroy. He was the husband of the late Freda M. (Sipes) Vickroy, who he married on November 18, 1950. She preceded him in death on August 27, 2013.

A WWll veteran, Lee served his country with honor and valor with the United States Army, Company G, 25th div, 161st infantry. Mr Lee will be remembered for the gift of giving to others. One organization that was near and dear to his heart was the Fulton County Christian School. Mr. Lee loved all the children that he came in contact with, these children showered him with love, appreciation, and drawings. Lee was a member and major supporter of the Needmore Bible Church.

He is survived by his sister; Eileen Wentz, of Johnstown, PA and numerous nieces and nephews, who were amazed at his ability to remember events, poems and songs in accurate detail. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother; Phillip and sisters; Marie, Doris and Helen.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Needmore Bible Church, Needmore, PA.

Funeral services will be held at the Needmore Bible Church, Needmore, PA at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, with Pastor Doug Poffenberger officiating. There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be private at Siloam Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA.

Military honors will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Needmore Bible Church, 6939 Great Cove Road, Needmore, PA 17238, in Mr. Lee's memory or your favorite charity. Precious in the eyes of The Lord is the death of His saints.
