Leroy Lambert

Leroy Lambert, 81, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Monday, March 30th, 2015 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Leroy was born in Smithcreek, WV on May 7, 1933, the son of the late Mabel (Goff) Ray and Ashby  Lambert.  He was the husband of Sherry L. (Kendall) Lambert whom he married on November 8, 2012. Mr. Lambert served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War, was a member of the American Legion Post #561, McConnellsburg, PA, the VFW Post #655, McConnellsburg, PA, the F.O.E. #4274, Harrisonville, PA and retired in 1998 from Mellott Brothers in Warfordsburg, PA as a heavy equipment operator.  Leroy enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar, riding four-wheelers and spending time with friends and family.  He also was a foster parent for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by Daughter Vanessa M. Dick of Forest Hill, MD, Son Morgan E. Lambert of Shrewberry, PA, Step-Daughter Tina A. Shank of Buck Valley, PA, Step-Sons Roy Pittman, Jr. of Berkley Springs, WV, Kenneth Andrew Pittman of Morfield, WV,  Sister Virginia Kile of Rawley Springs, VA, seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by  sons Roy A. Lambert, Mark A. Lambert, sister Naomi Kline and half brother Ruphert Helmick. Visitation will be Friday, April 3, 2015 from 4 to 6 PM.   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.
