Leona K. Tritle

Leona K. Tritle, 78, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 at her residence. Leona was born in Burnt Cabins, PA on January 2, 1939, the daughter of the late Pearl Anna (Mock) and John  Shore.  She was the widow of James C. "Jimmy" Tritle whom she married on August 4, 1956 and he passed away on November 23, 2007. Mrs. Tritle was a member of the Evangel Assembly of God Church in McConnellsburg, PA , was a home health aide and a transportation driver for the Fulton County Area Agency on Aging. She is survived by sons Calvin E. Tritle of McConnellsburg, PA, Dwayne D. Tritle of McConnellsburg, PA, daughter Beverly M. Hill of Orrstown, PA, sisters Delores Thomas of Burnt Cabins, PA, Donna Maloney of McConnellsburg, PA, Darlene Whitten of Chambersburg, PA, Larue Peirson of Fayetteville, PA, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by sisters Velda DeShong, Helen Thomas, Dorothy Fahnestock, brothers Bud, John, Mervin and Larry Shore. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 27th, 2017 from 10 to 11 AM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017  with Pastor William McCommons officiating. Interment at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
