Kimberly K. Keaton, 53, of Mc Connellsburg, PA, passed away Friday, December 26th, with her family by her side, after a long courageous battle with cancer, at her residence.
Kimberly was born in McConnellsburg, PA on December 3, 1961, a daughter of Dolores M. (Culler) Souders, of McConnellsburg and the late Robert C. Souders.
She was the wife of David E. Keaton whom she married on September 3, 1994.
She was a member of the McConnellsburg United Methodist Church,which she deeply loved. She served as a trustee and sang in the choir. She was a teacher's aide at the Central Fulton School District for three years. Besides her great love for her church, Kimberly also was very involved with 4H and FFA, helping her daughter with horse shows and watching her sons in demolition derbies. She also just enjoyed being a mother, doing beach vacations with her family and cooking meals for all them.
In addition to her mother and her husband, she is survived by her children; Sarah M. Keaton, of McConnellsburg, PA, Alex J. Keaton, of McConnellsburg, PA. and Jim Bob (husband of Tara) Gress, of McConnellsburg, PA. She is also survived by a sister Cheryl M. (wife of Will) Deshong, of Shippensburg, PA, brother Harvey C. (husband of Jane) Souders, of McConnellsburg, PA, grandsons Cohen Gress and Kade Gress and two very special ladies, Aunt Mert and Aunt Pat. She was preceded in death by two infant brothers.
There will be a Religious Service held at the McConnellsburg United Methodist Church, McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 30th, with Pastor Robin Baer officiating.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29th from 4 to 8 PM. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Tuesday at the church.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Kimberly, may be made to the McConnellsburg United Methodist Church New Building Fund, 121 North Second Street, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.
