Kay Charlene Truax

Charlene Truax, born January 15, 1938, departed this life to be present with the Lord on January 20, 2013, at the age of 75, at her home in Chambersburg, PA. Charlene was preceded in death by her mother, Edna E. Truax who died in an auto accident in December, 1981, her father, Rev. Floyd A. Truax, who died in June, 1996, and a step-mother, Marian Divelbliss, who died in January, 2012.  She is survived by four brothers, Dean (and wife, Phyllis) of Big Cove Tannery, PA, Roger (and wife, Carolyn) of Needmore, PA, Dale (and wife, Marion) of Berkeley Springs, WV, and Gary (and wife, Wildena) of Crystal Spring, PA. Charlene had been privileged to live happily in the home of the Brian and Myna Horst family for the past 22 years.  She enjoyed going to church, eating out, and doing other things with the Horst family, and others.  Though having disabilities from birth due to an apparent oxygen deprivation in delivery, thus needing some care and supervision, Charlene was able to be somewhat self sufficient until her later years.  She was a joy to her families and at times provided entertainment with some of her antics and sense of humor. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, PA. Visitation will be Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, PA. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Linda Mellott, treasurer, 5337 Sipes Mill Road, Warfordsburg, PA  17267. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
