Kathryn "Kate" G. Snyder

Kathryn "Kate"  G. Snyder, 99, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit, McConnellsburg, PA.

Kate was born in Needmore, PA on May 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Elva (Garland) and Floyd  Kline. She was the wife of Marvin C. "Bub" Snyder, who she married on May 22, 1945.  He preceded her in death on October 1, 1994.

Kate was a very independent woman. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed butchering hogs during the fall. She was also an exceptional seamstress and excellent baker. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great-granddaughter.

She is survived by her daughter Debbie K. (wife of Fred) Lane, Goodyear, AZ.  In addition to her daughter she is also survived by her grandchildren; LaDawn Hoffman, McConnellsburg, PA, Kevin (husband of Kellee) Truax, McConnellsburg, PA, and Michael (husband of Casey) Lane, Hagerstown, MD, six great-grandchildren; Drew Hoffman, Nicole Hoffman, Katelyn Truax, Kole Truax, Sebastian Lane, Anakin Lane and her great-great-granddaughter Everly Hoffman. She was preceded in death by a son Floyd Snyder, her daughter Shirley K. Truax and sister Pauline Duvall.

Funeral services will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 10:00 A.M on Saturday, August 31,  2024, with Deacon Meredith Shives officiating. There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
