Joyce J. Tucker

Joyce J. Tucker, 78, of Harrisonville, PA passed away Sunday, March 15th, 2020 at her residence.

Joyce was born in Baltimore, MD on December 28, 1941, the daughter of the late Emma (Stilper) and Richard F. Frey.  She was the wife of Brian F. Tucker whom she married on May 20, 1967.

She was a member of the Sideling Hill Christian Church in Needmore, PA where she taught Sunday school and Bible school for many years and also was a member of numerous organizations.  Joyce worked in the cafeteria at the Central Fulton School District for seventeen years and also was a homemaker.  She enjoyed being outside, gardening, watching and feeding the birds. Joyce was especially fond of the water, anything from a small creek to the ocean and spent many of her childhood summers on the Chesapeake Bay.  Mrs. Tucker was a loving wife who loved her children and grandchildren very much.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter Belinda J. (wife of Randy) Richards, of Harrisonville, PA, son Brandon F. (husband of Deborah)  Tucker, of Harrisonville, PA, brother Richard Frey, of Timonium, MD, granddaughter Alison Tucker, step-grandchildren George Richards, Cody  Richards, Whitney Davis and six step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 19th, 2020 from 5 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the church.

Religious Service at Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 20th, 2020  with Pastor William Swope officiating.

Interment at Sideling Hill Christian Cemetery, Needmore, PA.
