Joyce V. Shadle

Joyce V. Shadle, 77, of Harrisonville, PA, passed away Monday, July 27th, at the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.

Joyce was born in Harrisonville, PA on January 3, 1943, a daughter of the late Bernice (Bishop) and George T. Hollinshead.  She was the widower of Bernard M. Shadle, whom she married on January 28, 1967.  He preceded her in death on June 24, 1998.

Joyce was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, PA.  In her early years, Joyce was a nurse at the Fulton County Medical Center.  She enjoyed genealogy, doing volunteer work but especially loved anything involving her grandchilden.

She is survived by her son Joshua S.(husband of Karla) Shadle, of Harrisonville, PA, brothers Sherwin (husband of Betty) Hollinshead, of Harrisonville, PA, and Connie (husband of Clair) Hollinshead, of Harrisonville, PA. She is also survived by two grandsons Jonathan and Kaden Shadle.  She was preceded in death by brothers Marl Arvine Hollinshead, Curtis Hollinshead and sister Ameon Hann.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Asbury United Methodist Cemetery Harrisonville, PA, with Pastor Erik Sollenberger officiating.  If attending, it's encouraged to please bring along a lawn chair.
