John W. Hill, 71, of Harrisonville, PA passed away Thursday, June 20th, 2013 at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA. John was born in Follensbee, WV on October 8, 1941, the son of the late Robert Earl and Cleo (Thorley) Hill.  He was the husband of Marjorie F. (Schooley) Hill whom he married on April 7, 2002. Mr. Hill was a member of the Siloam United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, PA, The Gideons International, the Retired Teacher's Association, the Shriner's and  the Mason's.  He was a retired educator, coach, accomplished choir singer and director from Jefferson, Belmont and Monroe County School Districts in Ohio.  Mr. Hill also enjoyed music in all aspects. In additon to his wife, he is survived by Sons Jon L. (husband of Kathy) Hill of Williamsport, MD, David W. (husband of Ronda) Hill of Martinsburg, WV, three step-children, Sister Doris (wife of Bob) Hunter of O'Fallon, MO, Brother William (husband of Vonnie) Hill of Ohio, seven grandchildren and one step-grandson.  Preceded in death by brother Robert Hill and sister-in-law Janice. Memorial Service at Siloam United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 26th, 2013  with Pastor William Bair officiating. Interment at Siloam United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Gideons International, The Fulton Camp, P.O. Box 642, McConnellsburg, PA  17233. Arrangements were made by the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.howardlsipes.com.
