John L. Braswell, Jr.

John L. Braswell, Jr., 54, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 23rd, at his residence. . John was born in Ft. Lewis, WA on February 4, 1960, a son of Gladys (Hoilman) Braswell, of Williamsport, MD and the late John L. Braswell, Sr. He was the husband of Tanya R. (Harr) Braswell, whom he married on October 11, 2014. John was a 1979 graduate of the Williamsport High School in Williamsport, MD.  He attended Siloam United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, PA .  John worked at Lowe's for 18 years as a warehouse manager and then at Julia Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown, MD.  He enjoyed camping, the outdoors, Nascar and he loved the Redskins. In addition to his wife and mother, John is survived by his children Jared J. Braswell, Chloe L. Rife,  and Isaiah G. Rife.  He is also survived by his brother James E. (wife of Brenda) Braswell of Williamsport, MD and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. There will be a funeral service held  at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 2 PM on Sunday, December 28th,  with Pastor Bill Bair officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27th from 2 PM to 8 PM.  at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., 873 Lincoln Way East McConnellsburg, PA  17233.  There will also be one hour of visitation before the service on Sunday.
