Joey L. Helser

Joey L. Helser, 53, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 at his residence.

Joey was born in McConnellsburg, PA on December 8, 1967, the son of Janet I. (Means) and Harry S. Helser, of Ft. Littleton, PA.  He was the husband of Lori A. (Hess) Helser whom he married on June 30, 1990.

He attended My Father's House Ministries in McConnellsburg, PA, was a member of the A.B.A.T.E. Keystone Chapter 56, the Grease, Steam and Rust Association, the Narrows Gun Club, the Fulton County Republican Committee and he is an Eagle Scout.  Joey worked at the Burnt Cabins Maintenance Shed for the Pennsylvania Turnpike for twenty-one years. He loved everything about the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and riding his Harley.  Joey was a great family man, husband and father who never met a stranger.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Cory M. (husband of Brianna) Helser, of McConnellsburg, PA, daughter Sierra M. (wife of Justin) Gordon, of McConnellsburg, PA, brother Brian "Buck" (husband of Rebekah) Helser, of McConnellsburg, PA, granddaughter Emmalynn Helser, nephews Nick Hess, Jake Helser, Andy Mowen and niece Alexa Helser.  Joey was preceded in death by nephew Jordan Hess.

The family of Joey will be hosting a visitation on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 2 to 8 PM   at My Father's House Ministries, 1653 Lincoln Way East, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.  It is encouraged to follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family requests the omission of flowers and food, instead, memorial donations in memory of Joey may be made to the Grease, Steam and Rust Association, PO Box 29 McConnellsburg, PA 17233 or My Father's House Ministries, PO Box 269, McConnellsburg, PA  17233.
