Jane E. Kies

Jane E. Kies, 71, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023,  at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

Jane  was born in McConnellsburg, PA on August 10, 1951, a daughter of the late Esta C. (Mellott) and Robert M. "Buck" Pittman.  She was the widow of William P. "Bill" Kies, who she married on June 12, 1972.  He preceded her in death on October 8, 2015.

Jane was a homemaker, she led a very simple life and enjoyed being at home reading a book, watching the wildlife around her house and listening to music.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons William P. "Bill" (companion of Crystal Ulsh) Kies ll, of Hustontown, PA, Robert A. (husband of April) Kies, of McConnellsburg, PA, brother Mark A. Pittman, of McConnellsburg, PA and sister Cathy J. (wife of Michael) Cline, of McConnellsburg, PA.  She is also survived by five grandchildren; Aaleyah Kies, Jayden Kies, Gage Henry, Mason Worthing and Casey McQuait, one great grandchild Grady Worthing and two on the way.

There will be a graveside service held at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 1st,  with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating.
