James E. "Jim" Murray, 72, of Harrisonville, PA passed away Tuesday, March 14th, 2017 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.
Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 11, 1944, the son of the late Dorothy (Smith) and John E. Murray.
Jim had worked at the Chambersburg Hospital in his earlier years and was still working as an anesthesiologist at the Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, PA and the War Memorial Hospital in Berkley Springs, WV. He was a member of the Mount Zion Masonic Lodge #774 of McConnellsburg, PA, the NRA and a former member of the Harley Davidson's owner group. Jim enjoyed writing poetry, cooking and photography. He always kept himself informed with the newest technology and advancements when it came to computers and was a jack of all trades
He is survived by son James E. Murray, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA, daughters Jane E. Doheny of Fairless Hills, PA, Jackie E. Murray of Harrisonville, PA, brother John Murray of Philadelphia, PA, grandchildren Sidney Carson, Sophia Doheny, Naiya Doheny and Maverick Murray.
Memorial Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 18th, 2017 with Pastor Neil Ray officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 18th, 2017 from 12 to 1 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
