Iva Gayle (Strait) Deshong

Iva Gayle Deshong, 93, of Harrisonville, PA passed away Monday, March 18th, 2013 at Manor Care Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA. Gayle was born in Harrisonville, PA on June 24, 1919, the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Louella Mae (Decker) Strait.  She was the widow of Forrest S. Deshong who passed away on January 7, 1986. Mrs. Deshong was a lifetime member of the Siloam United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, PA, a member of the Siloam United Methodist Ladies Auxillary and was a homemaker. She is survived by Sons Larry F. (husband of Sharon A.) Deshong of Harrisonville, PA, Harlan S. (husband of Jennifer K.) Deshong of Harrisonville, PA, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Religious Service at Siloam United Methodist Church, Harrisonville, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 21st,  2013 with Pastor William Bair officiating. Interment at Siloam United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA. There will be visitation on Wednesday, March 20th, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Howard L.
