Homer C. Mellott

Homer C. Mellott, 94, of  Needmore, PA, died Sunday, April 27th, at Harrisburg General Hospital, Harrisburg, PA. Homer was born in Needmore, PA on March 11, 1920, a son of the late Edith (Hill) and Chester L. Mellott. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Needmore, PA.  He worked as a farmer throughout his life.  Homer was also  an amateur HAM radio operator. Homer is survived by his sister Naomi (wife of Stanley) Kline, of Needmore, PA and two nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother  Paul C. Mellott and sisters Lena Winters and Catherine Leona Mellott. Funeral Service will be held at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, PA, at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30th,  with Rev. Roger Truax officiating. There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, April 29th from 6PM  to 8 PM  at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., 873 Lincoln Way East McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation held one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
