Helen L. Mellott

Helen L. Mellott, 87, of Needmore, PA passed away Monday, October 24th, 2022 at Laurel Lakes Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA. Helen was born in Hustontown, PA on September 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Marie E. (Simcox) and George D. Miller. Mrs. Mellott was a  homemaker who loved her cats, enjoyed yard sales, thrift stores, flowers, decorating for Christmas and spending time with her grandchildren She is survived by daughter Shirley A. Mellott, of Needmore, PA, son Tom Mellott, of Needmore, PA, daughter Cindy Mellott, of Harrisonville, PA, son Donald Mellott, of York, PA, son Ronald Mellott, of York, PA, son  Rodney Mellott, of Arizona, son Brad Mellott, of Burnt Cabins, PA, daughter Melody Mellott, of Chambersburg, PA, son David Mellott, of Needmore, PA, brothers Max Miller of Harrisonville, PA, Carl Miller of Waynesboro, PA, Mike Miller of Georgia, sisters Wanda Kauffman of Hustontown, PA, Mary Swope of Harrisonville, PA, Joyce Mellott of Waterfall, PA, Pam Saylor of St. Thomas, PA, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  Helen was preceded in death by son Steve Mellott, granddaughter Christy Mellott, brother James Miller and sister Barbara Ruff. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 30th, 2022  with Pastor William Swope officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before the service on Sunday.
