Helen M. Buterbaugh

Helen M. Buterbaugh, 75, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Helen was born in Gadsden, AL on May 16, 1939, the daughter of the late Audrey (Idell) and Luther Horace Dowdy.  She was the widow of Jack R. Buterbaugh whom she married on June 16, 1978 and he passed away on July 9, 2014. Mrs. Buterbaugh was a homemaker and she enjoyed embroidering, gospel music, watching westerns, nascar and spending time with family. She is survived by Daughters Laura A. Pennwell of McConnellsburg, PA, Shelia K. Rauch of McConnellsburg, PA, Sons Ricky L. Dowdy of Upper Strausburg, PA, James W. Rauch of McConnellsburg, PA, Donald R. Buterbaugh of McConnellsburg, PA, Sisters Ellen Clauddtte of Tuck, GA, Glenda Ruth of Moon, GA, Brother Charles Alvin Dowdy of Anniston, AL, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by biological mother Annie (Hanley) Dowdy and brother Billy Griffith. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 27th, 2014  with Pastor Delmas Bard officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, July 26th, 2014 from 2 to 8 PM.   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
