Harold N. "Pee Wee" Truax

Harold N. "Pee Wee" Truax, 81, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Tuesday, August 16th, 2016 at his residence. Pee Wee was born in McConnellsburg, PA on April 10, 1935, the son of the late Georgi (Knable) Truax and Clarence A. Truax, Sr.  He was the widower of Lillian E. (Seville) Truax whom he married in 1954 and she passed away August 6, 1995. He was the owner/operator of Harold Truax's Plumbing and Heating for forty-six years and in his early years he worked for E.W. Pyle in McConnellsburg, PA.  Pee Wee collected guns, Griswold iron skillets, loved his work, enjoyed gardening, butchering, watching deer from his house, sharing the fruits of his labor from his garden and also loved his family. Pee Wee is survived by sister-in-law Louise "Weasy"  Seville of McConnellsburg, PA who shared residency with him after Pee Wee's wife passed away.  They built on the farm on Overly Raker Road in 1999 where they both resided.  She helped Pee Wee take care of his paperwork for his business, household duties and also took care of Pee Wee when he started getting ill.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his dog Molly.  Preceded in death by brothers Melvin, George and Clarence Truax, Jr., sisters Pearl Krum, Maye Pittman, Alma Hill and Betty Howell. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 19th, 2016  with Rev. Fred Chapin officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 18th, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home. Interment at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
