Goldie H. Mckinley

Goldie H. McKinley, 92, of Needmore, PA, passed away Tuesday, October 16th, at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

Goldie was born in Needmore, PA on October 12, 1926, a daughter of the late Barbara (Garland) and Riley  Kline.  She was the widow of Walter "Bud" E. McKinley, whom she married in 1946.  He preceded her in death on December 3, 2012..

Goldie was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Needmore, PA  and she was also a life time member of the Needmore Volunteer Fire Company and Auxillary.  She was a seamstress for forty years working at Sagners in McConnellsburg for twenty seven years, Waynesboro Knitting for seven years and London Fog in Hancock, MD for six years before retiring in 1988.  After retirement she did sewing and alteration work at home, quilting and crocheting.  Goldie enjoyed working in her gardens and doing yard work.

She is survived by her daughter in law Judy McKinley, of Erwin, PA, brother Stanley (husband of Naomi) Kline , of Needmore, PA, granddaugher  Heather (wife of Donald) Grove, of  Johnson City, TN,  granddaughter in law Allison McKinley, of Pittsburgh, PA, granddaugher Katie ( wife of Nathan Botti) McKinley, of Herminie, PA and grandson Patrick  (fiance of Patty Schuler) McKinley, of Pittsburgh, PA.  She is also survived by six great grandchildren Liam, Gabby, Donavann, Anna, Duncan and Riley.  She was preceded in death by a son Bob McKinley and grandson Rob McKinley.

There will be a visitation held on Thursday, October,18th from 5 to 8 PM. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc, McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Funeral service will be held at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore,PA, at 11:00 AM  on Friday, October 19th,  with Pastor Mac Miller officiating.

Interment at Pleasant Ridge Brethren Cemetery Needmore, PA.
