Glenn "Randy" Mellott

Glenn  "Randy" Mellott, 66, of Needmore, PA passed away Monday, January 2nd, 2012 at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA. Mr. Mellott was born in Needmore, PA on March 31, 1945, the son of the late Glenn C. and Cora Alice (Yost) Mellott. Randy was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren in Needmore, PA, attended the Deliverance in Christ Church in Scotland, PA, was a life long dairy farmer and also had a U.S. Mail route.  He enjoyed working, being outdoors, following sports especially circle track racing and spending time with his family. He is survived by  his Companion of seventeen years Linda G. Hershey of Needmore, PA and family, Daughters Tonja R. Mellott of Fayetteville, PA, Miranda L. (wife of Tim) Strait of McConnellsburg, PA, Son Jeff R. (husband of Kim) Mellott of Harrisonville, PA, Grandchildren Timmy, Tasha, Ruth, Amber and Jasmine Strait, Kirsten, Salem and Kadi Mellott. Religious Service at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 6th, 2012  with Pastor Roger Truax and Pastor Lonnie Shover officiating. Interment at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Needmore, PA. There will be visitation on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 from 2 to 8 P.M. at the Howard L.
