For the last three years, Glenda managed The Garlic Knot Restaurant in McConnellsburg. Everyone who came into the restaurant appreciated Glenda's homemade soups, wisdom of home remedies, her quick wit with words, infectious sense of humor, and her ability to make people laugh. She had a special way with words that could brighten even the dullest of moments and bring a smile to our face.
Glenda had many passions throughout her life, with a deep love for the outdoors. She cherished her time camping, often spending hours on her boat with her family, and she was an avid scrapbooker, capturing memories that would last a lifetime. Glenda also had a creative spirit and a love for painting, often creating beautiful works of art that reflected her vibrant personality.
But more than anything, Glenda had a profound connection to her grandsons, Landon and Brayden, and their passion for basketball. Her true passion lay in supporting them, Landon when reffing basketball or Brayden when playing basketball. She was a dedicated fan of the McConnellsburg High School boys basketball team for years and never missed a game, proudly cheering them on from the stands, always ready with encouragement and words of wisdom to them.
In accordance with Glenda's wishes, there will be no viewing or service. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Glenda would have wanted her memory to be celebrated in a way that was reflective of her spirit—joyful and full of laughter and jokes while watching basketball and eating at The Garlic Knot Restaurant.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that monetary donations be made to the McConnellsburg High School Boys Basketball Boosters, a cause close to Glenda's heart. Please send any monetary donations to MHS Boys Basketball Boosters, Attn: Christian Hann 1082 Johnston Drive, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.
Glenda's warmth, humor, and love for life will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rest in peace, Glenda. Your laughter and love will never be forgotten.
