Gerald E. Bivens, 86, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Thursday, February 15th, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD.

Gerald was born in Chambersburg, Pa on August 26, 1937, a son of the late Ida Elizabeth (Laidig) and Horace C. Bivens.  He was the husband of Mary A. (Paylor) Bivens, who he married on August 10, 1963.

Gerald was a dairy farmer throughout his life, living and working on the same farm since he was four years old.  He took great pride in everything he did, especially how the farm looked and he enjoyed tinkering on his old tractors.  He was a past member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau and a past Director of the Union Cemetery Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Barry  E. Bivens, of McConnellsburg, PA and daughter Lisa A. (wife of Ty) Daniels, of McConnellsburg, PA.  He is also survived by two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cito United Methodist Church, McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 23, 2024 with Pastor Patty Hall officiating.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
