George R. Elbin

George R. Elbin, 79, of Warfordsburg, PA passed away Friday, December 19th, 2014 at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro, MD. George was born in Hancock, MD on February 18, 1935, the son of the late Margaret (Lehman) and Fred R. Elbin.  He was the widower of S. Francine (Shives) Elbin whom he married on November 9, 1958 and she passed away on May 3, 1996 . Mr. Elbin was a member of the Hancock United Methodist Church, Hancock, MD, the James W. Bowers Masonic Lodge #173 in Hancock, MD and  retired after being the High School Principal for twenty-six years at the Southern Fulton School District in Warfordsburg, PA He is survived by  Daughter Trina L. (wife of Daniel) Clever of Lovettsville, VA, Sons Craig R. (husband of Sharon "Smith") Elbin of Needmore, PA, Glenn F. (husband of Sharon "Shaw") Elbin of Greencastle, PA, Lance L. (husband of Suzanne) Elbin of Needmore, PA and nine grandchildren.  Preceded in death by sister Eileen Moyer, brothers John and Keen Elbin. Religious Service at Hancock United Methodist Church, 170 West Main Street, Hancock, MD 21750 at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 22nd, 2014  with Pastor Michael Bynum officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, December 21st, 2014 from 5 to 8 PM. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. A Masonic service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 PM. Interment at Buck Valley Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, PA. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
