Gary Wayne Hollinshead

Gary Wayne Hollinshead, 82, of Harrisonville, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at UPMC Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.

Gary was born in Harrisonville, PA on May 14, 1942, a son of the late Anna M. (Strait) and Wayne  D. Hollinshead.  He was the husband of Mary E. (Englert) Hollinshead, who he married on July 7, 1967.

In his younger years, he worked as a butcher and carpenter. Gary was always a man to work with his hands. He was a member of the Mount Zion Masonic Lodge #774, McConnellsburg, PA. Gary was a fixture of Harrisonville, you could always find him driving the roads keeping an eye on the community or find him at the old Harrisonville Store.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son Lonny A. (companion of Ginger) Hollinshead, of Harrisonville, PA, daughter LeAnna V. (wife of Bobby) Rotz, of Mercersburg, PA, sister Gloria Fetterhoff, of Harrisonville, PA and brother Allen Hollinshead, of McConnellsburg, PA.  He is also survived by two grandchildren; Adam L. Hollinshead of Harrisonville, PA and Ivy J. Hollinshead of Harrisonville, PA.  He was preceded in death by a brother Marlin H. Hollinshead.

A Gathering for family and friends in Gary's memory will be held at a later date.
