Freda M. Vickroy

Freda M. Vickroy, 85, of McConnellsburg, PA passed from death to eternal life on Tuesday, August 27th, 2013 at her residence. Freda was born in Johnstown, PA on January 29, 1928, the daughter of the late Charles and Lula (Sipes) Sipes.  She was the wife of LeRoy  Vickroy whom she married on November 18, 1950. Mrs. Vickroy has been a member of the Needmore Bible Church since 1979 , was a founder and a faithful volunteer of the Fulton County Community Christian School in Needmore, PA and after graduating from the Greater Johnstown High School, she worked for the U.S. government as an administrative assistant with the Selective Service. Although Freda and Lee had no biological children of their own, they were loved by hundreds of children for their unwavering support of schooling, prayer and finances.  Freda loved entertaining family and friends in her home and shared with others all that God has blessed her with. Freda was preceded in death by her brother Eugene Sipes of Windber, PA. Religious Service at Needmore Bible Church, Needmore, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 31st, 2013  with Pastor Doug Poffenberger officiating. Interment at Siloam United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA. There will be visitation on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 2 to 8 P.M. at Needmore Bible Church, Needmore, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Community Christian School, 8159 Great Cove Road, Needmore, PA 17238. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
