Fred N. Fleming, 67, of Hustontown, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 13th, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Fred was born in Chambersburg, Pa on April 23, 1949, a son of the late Neva M. (Black) and Wayne E. Fleming. He was the husband of Susan D. (Norris) Fleming, whom he married on November 13, 1971.
Fred was a 1967 graduate of the Forbes Road High School. He was a dairy farmer for Land O' Lakes and owned and operated a swine finishing barn for Country View Family Farms. He attended Walnut Grove Church of God in Three Springs, PA . He was a member and past President of the Fulton County Planning Commission, he was also a past President and member of the Fulton County Extension Office, member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, served on the board of directors of the Clear Ridge Cemetery, was President of the Knobsville Burial Association. Fred loved working on his farm and spending time with his family and friends. In what spare time a farmer can have, he enjoyed watching dirt track racing, Nascar, rodeos and traveling to see their very special friends Norman, Susan and Jordan Sheffield.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Becky M. Everts and her sons Christian W. and Jeffrey Douglas Everts, of Hustontown, PA, daughter Danyell L. (wife of Rob) Dickinson and their daughter Nattalee M. Dickinson, of Hustontown, PA, daughter Bobbi Jo (wife of Scott) Shoop and their son Cody Shoop, of Newville, PA, son Nelson W. (companion of Peg Voegel) Fleming and their children Loreli D. Fleming, Gretchen D. Fleming, Ashley Voegel, Jacob Voegel (companion of Alex Ritchey) and Caleb Voegel, of Hustontown, PA. He is also survived by his sister Janet R. (wife of Norman) Sipes, of Hustontown, PA and his very close friends of the family Dale Henry, Joe Elliott, Thane Fix, Chelsea Hockenberry, and Linda Englert. In addition to his immediate family and very close friends, Fred is survived by his favorite dog Tobi. He was preceded in death by his son in law Jeffrey Everts.
There will be a memorial service held at the Walnut Grove Church of God, Three Springs, PA, at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 25th, 2016, with Pastor Dan Winey officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.
Interment will be private at convenience of the family.
