Frank R. Hollenshead

Frank R. Hollenshead, 76, of Needmore, PA passed away Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at Pinnacle Health, Harrisburg, PA. Frank was born in Sipes Mill, PA on February 22, 1941, the son of the late Nevada O. (Mellott) and Norman T. Hollenshead.  He was the husband of Carolyn V. (Gordon) Hollenshead whom he married on May 13, 1961. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Church in Harrisonville, PA where he was the Sunday School Superintendent for forty years, was a former Fulton County Farm Bureau director and also was awarded the Keystone State Degree.  Frank was a lifelong dairy farmer who enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to his grandkids basketball games. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Jeanne D. (wife of Timothy) Leedy of Needmore, PA, son Joseph D. (husband of Heather) Hollenshead of Needmore, PA, daughter Janet D. (wife of Anthony) Rhoton of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren Chelsey Hollenshead, TJ Leedy, Andrea Trainor, Jenna Hollenshead, Macey Hollenshead, Nathan Leedy, Lindsey Hollenshead, Barrett Rhoton, Conall Rhoton, great grandchildren River and Lana Leedy.  Preceded in death by son John D. Hollenshead and brother James Hollenshead. Visitation will be Friday, August 25th, 2017 from 2 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Saturday at the church. Religious Service at Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Church, Harrisonville, PA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 26th, 2017 with Pastor Mark Smith and Pastor Dan Porterfield officiating. Interment at Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA.
