Frances R. Barnhart

Frances R. Barnhart, 81, of Hustontown, PA passed away Wednesday, March 17th, 2021 at the Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit, McConnellsburg, PA.

Frances was born in Harrisonville, PA on August 15, 1939, the daughter of the late Helen Blanche (DeShong) and Norman B. Strait.  She was the widow of Larry "Gene"  Barnhart whom she married on October 21, 1981 and he passed away on November 21, 2006.

Mrs. Barnhart was a member of the Knobsville Church of the Brethren and was a homemaker.  Frances enjoyed gardening, sewing and being with her family.

She is survived by son Ray O. Mellott, Jr. (husband of Lisa), of Wells Tannery, PA, step-daughter Sherry DeShong, of Harrisonville, PA, twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  Frances was preceded in death by daughter Ditha H. Mellott, son Norman E. Mellott, Sr., sisters Mary Maye Bookheimer, Helen M. Peiffer, brothers Raymond R. and Kenneth L. Strait.

Funeral services will be private with Pastor Chris Elliott officiating and interment will be at Hustontown Cemetery, Hustontown, PA.
